Everything Must Go!

As if 2007 wasn't bad enough for record store deaths, it doesn't look like 2008 is doing much better.
Today's Victims:
Music World at Rideau Centre, Ottawa.
(Final purchases were The Band: The Best Of - A Musical History, Shooter Jennings - The Wolf and Paul Weller - As Is Now DVD)

CD Exchange - Rideau Street, Ottawa
They'll still be open for a couple of extra weeks, but since my holiday here won't last a couple of extra weeks, my 'final' purchases were Queen - Rock Montreal, Kimberley Rew - Essex Hideaway and Led Zeppelin - The Song Remains The Same

Fallen

As disturbing as this is for you to see, and frankly for me to photograph, the sight of a dead baby bird is still fascinating. Its skin, its veins, its undeveloped muscles, yet seemingly fully-developed claws.

It also raises several questions: How did it get here? Did it fall out of the nest? Was it pushed? If so, why? Was it the runt? Shunned by its mother?

Rest in peace, little guy.
